Share Your Input on How Opioid Settlement Funds Are Being Used to Support Regional Programming

In 2024, Eastham, Truro, Wellfleet, and Provincetown made significant investments in regional programs to support recovery, treatment, harm reduction, and prevention efforts around opioid use. Now, they’re asking for community input to evaluate the impact of these initiatives and shape future plans using opioid settlement funds.

Residents and stakeholders are invited to share feedback on the effectiveness of current programs and provide suggestions to address unmet needs. Input can be shared by completing an online survey or attending one of two in-person forums.

How to Participate:

  1. Complete the Survey
  2. Attend a Forum
    • Tuesday, December 17: Wellfleet Public Library
    • Thursday, December 19: Provincetown Public Library
      • Both forums run from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and are open to anyone impacted by or concerned about opioid use.

Key Details:

  • All survey responses are anonymous.
  • All questions are optional.
  • The forums will include a review of the first 18 months of regional programming and a discussion on next steps.

In 2023, Outer Cape Community Solutions (OCCS) and the towns’ health departments worked collaboratively through stakeholder workshops to develop regional programs funded by opioid settlement dollars. These programs aim to make a lasting impact in addressing substance use disorder across the Outer Cape.

For more information, visit the Opioid Remediation Funds Work Group webpage or review the FY 2024 Opioid Remediation Funds Proposal.

Thank you for your participation. Your input is important to us and your voice matters. Help shape the future of opioid use prevention and support in your community.
