At the May 4th, 2009 Annual Town Meeting it was voted to accept the provisions of MGL Chapter 40 Section 57, which states in part
Due to unpaid taxes, fees, assessments or betterments
The Town may deny, revoke, or suspend any license or permit including, beach stickers, dump stickers, shellfish permits, building, wiring, and plumbing permits, mooring permits, licenses to operate a business, along with rental certificates, and other requests it deems necessary, until fees have been paid.
