Description
Maintain the General Ledger system, perform internal audits, coordinate external audits, payroll audits and prepare required reports and account payable administration.
Responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities and services that are provided by the Town Departments and for implementing policies developed by the Board of Selectmen and/or by Town Meeting.
The Assessor's Office is responsible for the full and fair market valuation of all real and personal properties within the Town.
Our goal is to keep Eastham's buildings in a good, clean, working condition for use by Town employees, citizens, and visitors
Enforces Massachusetts building code regulations, issues building, plumbing, gas and electrical permits. Conducts appropriate inspections in support of building regulations and permits.
Responsible for the registration, recording, and management of all vital records and events.
Conducts elections and maintains election records. Issues various licenses, certificates, and permits.
Our staff identifies the needs of our residents 59 and over. We then design, promote and implement services and programs to fill these needs.

The Eastham Government Access Cable Television Channel (Channel18) is intended to provide information to Eastham citizens about issues, services, programs, activities, and events involving local government.
 
Preserves life, property and environment within the community due to fire, medical emergency, and other hazardous conditions, through public education, code management and emergency response.
Eastham's Health Department provides all those services needed to protect and promote public health. Including water quality testing, septic & well permits/inspections, and beach water monitoring.

Issues various licenses and permits for all departments, including Alcoholic Beverages, Board of Health licenses and permits, Board of Selectmen licenses and permits, and approval for Use of the Windmill Green and Temporary Sign Permits.
Manage and maintain Eastham's computers, networks, software, applications, E-mail, Web Page and our telephone system.
Preserve and enhance the natural resources of the town through conservation, education, regulation, and management. As Harbormaster, to manage moorings, issue permits and protect the shoreline. As Shellfish Officer issue licenses and permits for shellfishing and direct the Salt Pond Nursery grow-out facility. Enforce all Federal, State, and Local Environmental Laws, Rules & Regulations.
The Planning Department staffs the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, supports the Eastham Historical Commission, Old Town Center Historic District, and other land use related committees established by the Town. The Department works closely with other Town departments and coordinates long term planning projects, such as the Local Comprehensive Plan (LCP).

The Highway Department provides road repairs, maintenance and snow plowing services. Operates the Transfer Station where solid waste disposal and recyclables may be dropped off.
We provide and promote year-round programs and activities that enhance the quality of life of its participants.
The Collector/Treasurer's Office is responsible for the billing and collection of all revenue including property and excise taxes, fees, permits and other departmental receivables committed to them to collect; maintaining tax title accounts and for receiving, managing and disbursing all monies belonging to the Town, in addition to processing and distributing bi-weekly payroll and administering benefits for town employees and retirees.
