NOTES OF MEETING OF
01/09/07
When the boards met at 2 p.m. at the police station, members quickly realized the meeting had not been posted. Those present were: Chair Weiss, Co-chair Whitmore, Nugent, Boelitz, Lightfoot, and Bayne, and Health Agent Crowley. The group decided not to discuss any matters which would require votes.
The group discussed possible conditions which might be recommended to the energy committee and the BOS re the wind turbine article. Some of the proposals were:
1. Exclude any activity in zone 1 well protection areas, which requires a 400’ radius.
2. Adhere to zone 2 well protection area rules.
3. Protect both areas during construction.
Weiss reviewed the draft power point presentation created by Whitmore and him which is intended to educate the public about the Town Meeting proposal to plan for public water.
The next meeting will be on 2/13.
