To appoint a sub-committee for the purposes of the required public hearing
on the Proposed Five Year Capital Plan FY 10 - FY 14 and Proposed Operating
Budget FY 09 to be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
respectively at Town Hall.
Selectman Schropfer made a motion to appoint a sub-committee for the purposes of the
required public hearing on the Proposed Five Year Capital Plan FY 10 - FY 14 and
Proposed Operating Budget FY 09 to be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
and 7:15 p.m. respectively at Town Hall. Selectman Martin seconded the motion.
APPROVED 3-0.
It was determined that the starting time for the April 22, 2008 Board of Selectmen’s meeting
would remain at 6:30 p.m., with the Public Hearings to commence at 7:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. respectively as stated.
Selectman Martin asked Ms. Vanderhoef if the diving docks are being prepared for Wiley Park.
Ms. Vanderhoef noted that they are being built and will be delivered on time for this upcoming summer season.
A short discussion followed, noting that the Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday will give the public the opportunity to voice their concerns. The Warrant has been advertised, and is available at Town Hall and on the Eastham Town Hall web site as well (www.eastham-ma.gov) In the past, the Warrant was distributed at Town Meeting, thus questions related to it could only be addressed at that time. Town Meeting then often extended beyond one night in order to address questions related to the Warrant.
Ms. Vanderhoef noted that the Warrant has now been duly posted, has been published and is available to the public in various town buildings. Additionally, a shortened version of the Warrant will be printed in the Friday, April 18, 2008 edition of the Cape Codder.
All matters having been discussed, Selectman Schropfer moved to adjourn the meeting at
8:10 a.m. Selectman Martin seconded the motion. APPROVED 3-0.
Respectfully submitted,
Lorraine Speros
