CPA Minutes 02/08/2007
EASTHAM COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE

Meeting:        February 8, 2007

Attendance:     Glenn Collins, Cheryl Gayle, Sue Horton, Henry Curtis, Peter McDonald,          Kathryn Sette, and David J. Skiba, Members

The minutes of January 25, 2007, were approved.

A discussion of the proposed Warrant Articles included a suggestion by Peter that the word "reserve" be replaced with the word "funds", and all members concurred.  With regard to the Swift-Daley House, it was mentioned that more detail be added and the suggestions were accepted.  With respect to the Seabury-Sparrow House, it was discussed that the property owner's name should be deleted from the Article, and all members agreed.

The members further concurred that the Articles for the utilization of CPA funds for administrative expenses and for the requisite 10% community housing, 10% open space, and 10% historic preservation be proposed as last year.  Glenn shall present all Articles to PersonNameSheila Vanderhoef for perfecting by Town Counsel.  Members reiterated their desire that the Articles retain all substantive aspects.  Glenn shall solicit dates for meeting with the Finance Committee and the Selectmen.  Glenn noted that the meeting with the Eastham Elementary School officials regarding the playground failed to reveal any significant new information.  Kathryn Sette shall do the Warrant summaries for this year.

Cheryl noted there will be a CPA Roundtable Meeting on February 20, 2007, at the Superior Court at 2:30 p.m.

The members reiterated their desire to pursue housing proposals next year on their own.

Meeting adjourned.

                                                Respectfully submitted,

                                                David J. Skiba, Clerk
