EMAIL NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
The Eastham Police Department announces a partnership with the Eastham Chamber of Commerce, to kick-off their Email Notification System. The purpose of the email notification system is to create a base email list of community members. The first phase of the program will focus on the businesses of the town, for the purpose of notification of Crime trends or suspicious individuals who may be perpetrating crimes within Eastham.
The system will be maintained by Detective Adam Bohannon who hopes to provide important information to the community in an effort to “prevent” a crime from taking place where information can be quickly disseminated to those who sign up for this important alert system.
Phase II of the program will also include private residents and will include uses where Emergency information needs to be communicated for such things as road closures, power outages or even a missing child or Alzheimer’s patient. Similar programs have been very successful in other communities and this program is yet another effort to proactively reach out to our Community and work together “In Partnership”.
