TOWN OF EASTHAM
EASTHAM BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Minutes of December 17, 2009 Meeting


Meeting convened at 2:00 pm.
Present:        Assessors Sette, Avery, and Fagan, Field Appraiser Belinda Clarey, and Deputy Assessor Gail Fitzback

  • The Board voted to accept the minutes of the October 19, 2009 meeting and October 19, 2009 Classification Hearing.
  • The Board signed the prepared FY10 exemptions that have been submitted and reviewed by the Assessing office to date.
  • The Board signed the FY11 Chapter 61B renewal applications for Atlantic Oaks and Nauset Land Trust.
  • The Board voted unanimously to partially abate the real estate taxes for Jo Ann Jackson, Kenneth & Marianne Eubanks, Barbara French, Robert & Dorothy Weibel, William & Martha Robbins Trust, Joseph & Jean Kane, Joseph & Sandra Bayne, Gregory & Marianne Mize, Kathleen Keohane, Francis & Constance OConnor Trust, Joseph Rosa, Jeffrey & Liza Meyerhardt, and Eliza Fitts. The Board voted 2-0 to partially abate the real estate taxes for Lillian Radke, Leonard & Katherine Dufresne, and Marcia Dalbey Trust. Assessor Fagan recused herself because she knew the applicants professionally.
The Board voted unanimously to deny the real estate abatement applications for David & Teresa Hale, Esther Russo, Dorothea Matteson Trust, Salvatore Aleide Trust, James & Diane McDermott, John & Lisa Gauthier, Martha Averill Trust, Kosarick Eastham Realty Trust, Nancy Apgar Trust, Marion Neilsen, Joanna Buffington, David Daigle, Mark & Kathryn Tonucci, Benjamin & Judith Rice, Hatch Family Trust, James Leonard, and Denise La Rosa Trust. The Board voted 2-0 to deny the real estate abatement applications for Peter Burns and Paul Burns. Assessor Fagan recused herself because she knew the applicants professionally.
The Board voted unanimously to deny the personal property abatement application for Bell Atlantic Mobile of MA Company dba Verizon Wireless.
The meeting adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
